About DJ Molex.

Early Life/Student DJ:

Marcel David Joseph LeBlanc, professionally known as DJ Molex or simply Molex, was born on October 9th, 1991, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

In 1996, he started attending École Abbey-Landry in Memramcook, New Brunswick, where he took up singing, acting, and dancing, participating in the school choir, multiple plays, and dance competitions, sparking a lifelong passion for performing arts.

He later attended École Mathieu-Martin in Dieppe, New Brunswick, where he found his love of music as a member of the student radio and host of the lunchtime radio show. He also played at school sporting events and joined the theatre department, beginning a long career as a DJ and theatrical technician that continues to this day.

Marcel won multiple awards for his commitment to the performing arts between 2006 and 2009.

Professional career: (2013 - Now)

After attending college, Marcel started performing again locally in Moncton, New Brunswick, as an opening DJ and streaming sets online in the early 2010s eventually rebranding himself as DJ Molex in January 2013 and released his debut collaboration “Slave Factory” with Montreal producer and multi-instrumentalist PhilBOLD.

For over a decade, he has displayed his versatility and reliability by performing at weddings, proms, teen dances, corporate events, community events, and even world-class sporting events like the IIHF World Juniors (2022) and STIHL Timbersports.

Molex has held impressive residencies, regular rotations, and special guest spots at festivals, nightclubs, pubs, and lounges while also occasionally featuring as a backup MC and DJ for multiple East Coast rappers on tours and special performances.

Notable appearances include the 75th Shediac Lobster Festival (2024), Cavy’s Energy Thief Tour (2023), Pineo & Loeb’s “WICKED” and “Good Vibe Feeling” tours (2022), River of Pride 20th anniversary concert (2019), TPB Presents: Randy & Mr. Lahey LIVE (2017), Atlantic Fashion Expo (2016), Urban/Electronic showcase at Music NB Awards (2014).
